New and mind-blowingly fabulous yarn
from our Uruguayan friends at Malabrigo. Pure angora (bunny
fur) is handspun in Argentina on a device called a tinka,
which re-creates one of the purest and most ancient ways of spinning
(in other words: a tinka is what happens when spinners stop being
polite and start being real.)The yarn is then hand-dyed by a women's cooperative in
Uruguay. This is a 2-ply yarn, slightly unevenly spun, with amazing
texture, halo, and softness. Use it on its own, or as trim on
a sweater, scarf, or mittens knit with Malabrigo's worsted merino.
(Please note: Because each skein is handspun,
individual skein weights will vary from between 60 to 75 grams.
