Currently, Yarnzilla is open only to students enrolled in our classes and clinics; we are not available for general shopping.  Please check our website in the near future for a list of dates on which the store will be open to the general public.

Store Location:

We're located at 6020 Blue Circle Drive in Minnetonka, Minnesota, tucked away in an office/retail complex right off Shady Oak Road that includes the Minneapolis Gift Mart and a Marriott Hotel.  If you know where the Shady Oak Beach is, we're just a hop, skip, and jump away.

We don't like to think of ourselves as "hard to find" -- rather, much like, say, the island of St. Barts, we feel we're off the beaten path but well worth finding.

Here's a map of our general area, followed by step-by-step driving directions:

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

FROM HIGHWAY 7:  Take the Shady Oak Road exit, making a left onto Shady Oak Road if you're coming from the east or a right if you're coming from 7W.  Take Shady Oak to Bren Road. Turn left onto Bren Road (you are now entering the Opus Complex, where you'll proceed at a stately and sedate 30 miles per hour on a series of one-way streets).  Bren Road will now be known as Bren Road East.  Stay on Bren Road East as it winds through the complex (stay to the right at all times, but don't take any right forks).  After winding along on Bren Road East, you'll see the Minneapolis Gift Mart ("UMAGA") on your left -- you're almost here!  When you see a white and green sign on the right-hand side of the road that says "SCI-COM," make an immediate right into the driveway directly after the sign.  After entering the driveway, make a left into the Yarnzilla parking lot (we have plenty of free parking right in front of the store).

COFFEE-LOVERS' ROUTE: Take Excelsior Blvd. to Shady Oak Road (going south), and turn left onto Red Circle Drive.  Conveniently situated at the intersection of Shady Oak and Red Circle is a Caribou Coffee/Einstein Bros. Bagels.  Stop in for a cup of joe, and then get back on Red Circle Drive by making a right out of Caribou's parking lot.  Stay on Red Circle Drive until it merges with Bren Road E.  When you see a white and green sign on the right-hand side of the road that says "SCI-COM," make an immediate right into the driveway directly after the sign.  After entering the driveway, make a left into the Yarnzilla parking lot (we have plenty of free parking right in front of the store).

FROM POINTS NORTH:  Take Highway 169S and take the Londonderry/Bren Rd. exit, making a right onto Bren Road.  Enter the Opus Complex -- staying on Bren Road -- and take the first left immediately after the Marriott Hotel (this is a short, one-way street called "Green Oak Drive").  Go to the end of Green Oak Drive and make a left onto a one-way street.  Stay in the right lane; this road becomes Blue Circle Drive.  Yarnzilla is located at 6020 Blue Circle Drive, with plenty of free parking right in front of the store.
