Quick Holiday Gift Hat
In need of a quick knitted gift in the $25 range? I highly recommend the "One Skein Noro Transitions Hat," a free pattern offered by Wendy Johnson on her ultra-popular knitting blog. (The pattern can be found by clicking here.)

Noro Transitions retails for $24.95/skein and is available from Yarnzilla both online and in our physical store. The price point might strike you as a bit lavish, but given that Transitions is spun from all sorts of luxury fibers (camel, angora, cashmere, and more) and that the hat calls for only one skein, this is a great way to try out an usual yarn without breaking the bank.
I found Wendy's pattern to be clearly written and error free, and knitting away on this hat while listening to a fabulously funny book-on-tape ("Lost and Found" by Carolyn Parkhurst) was a wonderful way to pass part of a cold Minnesota weekend. (Minnesota? Cold? Imagine that . . .)

Really a nice hat Linda. Not sure I can fit it into my "to do" list though. I have a feeling that's not going to open up until after Christmas. When are you posting the new classes for after Christmas?
Hi, Guinifer! Nancy's working like crazy to pull a schedule together. We've found that the vast majority of our customers are armhole-decreases-deep in existing projects, so we tend to offer more open clinics than classes where everyone works on the same project. That said, I know for sure that Nancy's planning a traditional Norwegian sweater class as well as a class to knit a sock sideways, as they're showing with the new Opal sock yarn (the yarn is in the shop, but it's not on the site yet). Thanks for asking!
