Yipes, Stripes!
A really cool new yarn arrived in the shop today. Feast your eyes on a couple of the colorways, starting with Chili & Chocolate:

and how about a fuzzy green patch of Sierra Moss:

The yarn is brand new from Crystal Palace and is called "Merino Stripes." It's a self-striper that's 85% brushed merino and 15% polyester, and knits on size 9-11 US needles. It's $7.80 per 50-gram skein, and it takes from 5-9 skeins to knit a whole sweater -- not bad! There are 8 colors in all, and they can be found in our online store here. I see this yarn knit into modular scarves (great patterns can be found in Iris Schreier's "Modular Knits" book) and wonderfully fuzzy, stripey cardigans and pullovers.
Crystal Palace also offers a free sweater pattern on their website, which can be seen here.
